Previous Hike

The major event in Hike Ontario's year is our Annual Summit which is normally held in conjunction with a Trail Association and has celebrated a significant achievement like the opening of a new trail or a special anniversary of the trail's existence.

This year the Annual Summit was held in London to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Thames Valley Trail. Many activities were planned for the October 18-21st weekend, including a Pub Night, Summit and Dinner. We had excellent guest speakers and presenters lined up with a variety of topics. Adventure hiking, geocaching, hike leadership and nature photography were just a few of the Saturday sessions offered. Three hikes were planned for the final day ranging from easy to difficult.
