Previous Hike

Our 15 day adventure covered not only the sights of the country but some of the stunning beauty that can only be found “on foot”. Our small group delved into the hustle and bustle and the tranquility of modern and ancient Vietnam.

The group enjoyed trekking in the Sa Pa region surrounded by stunning terraced fields and constantly followed by the ethnic H’mong people. There are various ethnic groups within Northern Vietnam and each group profile different dresses and colours. The women followed hikers on the trail providing support when walking through deep mud or steep sections. They wanted to sell you scarves or fabric purses. They adopted us as their friend while on the trail. In my case two locals women adopted me as a “relative” wanting to be sisters to me. Mama Mia!
